Copyright Notice
All Stranglers album artwork, related silhouettes, and visual references remain the copyright of their respective rights holders. We do not claim ownership of those original works.
This podcast is intended as commentary, criticism, and review. Where we refer visually to copyrighted artwork, our intention is to do so in a limited and contextual way, consistent with fair dealing for the purpose of criticism and review.
We do not play any original Stranglers recordings on the podcast, either in full or in isolated stem form.
We will never run paid advertisements on the podcast. We do, however, accept voluntary Buy Me a Coffee donations.
This is an unofficial fan project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or authorised by The Stranglers or their representatives.
AI Notice
Since we are living in an age of AI, we think it is best to be clear about what we have, and have not, used AI for.
Our view is that AI can be a useful tool for some of the more tedious or technical parts of this project. Using it in that way gives us more time and energy to put into the parts we most enjoy.
What we have not used AI for
All music we produce - including recording, production, vocals, instruments, mixing, and mastering is done by us manually. No AI is used in that process.
The overall art direction and final production of the podcast artwork is also carried out by us, including sourcing royalty-free, public-domain, or appropriately licensed images, fonts and elements where applicable.
The majority of the graphic design process is done by us.
What we have used AI for
We have used AI, or AI-assisted tools, for the following:
Logic Pro’s Stem Splitter, which uses AI-assisted technology to split original songs into stems for reference purposes.
Website coding and troubleshooting.
Some of the more tedious graphic design processes, such as isolating artwork elements and converting them into vector-style formats for use in our artwork.
The podcast logo.
The “About Time” podcast graphic background, including the noose and blue background.
The “Written in Red” logo, which was created by combining elements inspired by the album cover into a spherical design.
The “Coup de Grace” mask. As we could not find the original image, or a similar image of that particular mask, we used AI to create a full mask image based on the cover.
